Glide Bikes EZee Glider Kid's Balance Bike Review

Nearly a decade ago Glide Bikes was introduced to the market with a simple goal in mind; teaching young children how to ride bikes without hassle of additional side wheels, uncomfortable pedals and unreachable heights. These bikes are the perfect tool helping kids build confidence in learning balance. While most of us learned bicycle riding with training wheels, an important element lacks as you never learned how to balance with the training wheels doing all the balancing for you. This is what makes transitioning from three-wheel tricycles difficult as the young child never learned to balance.

Glide Bikes EZee Glider Kid’s Balance Bike Overview

Glide Bikes EZee Glider Kid’s Balance Bike is the perfect learning tool for toddlers and young children. Specifically designed so that young kids can place their feet on the ground while seated at any time. They can run with the bike and reach momentum in experimenting with balance and if they feel uncomfortable, they only have to place their feet on the ground. The 12-inch bike is adjustable to suit toddlers from age 18-months up to 4-years of age with unique features most other Balance Bikes lack. Adjustable Quick-Release  Seat Hinge. The seat height is easily adjusted with a quick-release hinge, which requires no tools. Adjust the seat for young toddlers of walking age with most toddlers able to walk around age 18 months, and regardless of their height, the seat can adjust to lengthen, as they grow older. Also makes for easy seat adjustment if you have older children using the same bike up to four-years old.

The Glide Bikes EZee Glider Kid’s Balance Bike is one of the very few Glide Bikes on the market with a child-sized handbrake. As children learn balance and gain confidence especially older toddler from age three up, they are able to use the easy to press handbrake to stop instead of using their feet. Foot Peg  System Another feature apart from the handbrake that makes this specific model Glide Balance Bike stand out from rivals is the unique foot peg system. Without being intrusive, this system allows children to place their feet on the foot pegs while gliding as soon as they learnt balance. Also utilizing a quick-release hinge it requires no tools and can either be locked in place or removed, if it is in the way of toddlers who are not using it yet.

Why You Should Buy a Strider PREbike Balance Running Bike

I remember as clearly as if it was yesterday, when I was learning to ride a bike: the amazing adrenaline rush of sliding away with the wind, and the horrible feeling of danger when I wasn’t in control any more, and couldn’t do anything about it. I was screaming for my big brother to catch me right after the first seconds of getting on the bike, in the moment I lost my balance and started falling.

strider rider 1 Strider Bike Since then a lot of time has passed, and today I even ride to work, but that initial feeling of frightened helplessness, that keeps me back from enthusing about bicycles to my children: I wish they never have to go through that.

That’s why I was so excited to find out about the Strider PRE Bike Balance Bike, and realize that fearing for your life, even just for seconds, isn’t a necessary step in learning to ride a bike.

With this amazing training bike, they can experience the rush of speed while they are in control, and they can stop or slow down whenever they want to.

More importantly: they can learn the basic rules of riding a two-wheeler one baby-step at the time: first just running along the bike, then sitting up on it, and just balancing it with their feet, and when they feel comfortable enough: raising their little feet in the air, and riding along as if on a real bike.
The Strider PREbike is clutter free and easy to ride.

Regular bicycles have too many things on them, children have to focus on so many things at once that they are lost and frustrated during the learning process. There are of course the training wheels, but those only help children while they are learning how to pedal, and once taken off, the problem of balancing comes up again.

Strider Balance Bikes only have the two wheels for stability and mobility, a handle bar to hold onto, and a seat, which most children don’t even use at the first stages. Even the footrest is integrated into the bike’s frame. Nothing more than the essentials.

The light weight, the wide tires are all there to provide comfort and confidence for the little ones.

The adjustable seat and handle bar height, and durable structure is important so it can witness your child growing up, and could even help out a smaller sibling after its first user has become a big boy or girl and got themselves a new “real” bicycle.

And for us, well, the thought of knowing our little ones safe while having fun, I think that is a big enough reward for every parent.
